Get to know a Furry


Dmitri Leaptrott - Artist and Costume Designer/Producer

Tristan Leaptrott, who works under the professional name " Dmitri Leaptrott," was born in Savannah, Georgia in July 1987.  Dmitri showed an interest in art at a very young age and studied art history at East Georgia State College.  He works with a variety of media, including graphic art, copic markers, colored pencils, watercolors and fabric materials. 


Dmitri  began crafting anthropomorphic costumes in 2005 and began selling both art and costumes within the anthropomorphic (furry) fandom in 2006.  He established Star Scavenger Productions in 2010, a company which specializes in  creating visually-impressive, bespoke costumes and works of art that portray the client’s ideas as accurately and expressively as possible. 


Currently, Dmitri is located in the Odenwald region of Hesse, Germany and continues to expand into different media and creative endeavors, including the creation of graphic novels and picture books.
